1. Practice Deep Breathing
When you feel overwhelmed. Take a moment to breathe. Breathe in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth. You can use the 5-5-5 count. In through your nose for 5 secs. Out through your mouth for 5 secs. Pause 5 secs.

2. Prayer and meditation
Prayer is the act of communicating with God. You can activate your spiritual connection anytime and anywhere. Then pause in reflection ready to receive a spiritual refresher.
3. Relaxing Bath
Water is associated with reducing stress and healing. Add in epsom salt or lavender for more healing properties.
4. Music therapy
Pop in your ear buds or blast your fav songs on your speaker. Music is used in therapy to heal trauma. It has the ability to take you on a journey through melody and shift your mood. Add in dance for a whole mind/body experience.
5. Laugh out Loud
Laughing has been scientifically proven to release happy hormones in the body like endorphins and oxytocin. Turn on your favorite movie. Call a funny friend. Or laugh at your kids instead of stressing about the blunders of the day.
6. Exercise
Studies show regular body movement helps ward off depression and anxiety. It also allows your blood to flow more effectively throughout your body. Creating better heart health and emotional health. Stretching deeply with certain positions counts too.
